On February 18, 2016, Buckeye Bible Buddies met for their second meeting. The lesson this month was on Creation and Adam and Eve’s sin. Each child was asked to come dressed as their favorite animal for the meeting.
Continuing on with the Primary class’s study of the Old Testament, the kids learned about the twelve spies that were sent out to spy out the Promise Land. Sandra explained to the kids that one man from each of the twelve tribes of Israel was chosen to make a forty day mission to spy out the Promise Land and bring back a report.
While the spies were spying out the land, they saw a land of great abundance. Sandra explained that the fruit of the land was much, much bigger than what we think of as normal sized fruit- watermelons the size of cars, tomatoes the size of beach balls, and grape clusters so large that it required two spies to carry the cluster back to the children of Israel!
